Robert Kiyosaki

Robert Kiyosaki (born April 8, 1947) is an American entrepreneur, investor, and author, best known for his contributions to personal finance education. Born in Hilo, Hawaii, he graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and served as a Marine Corps helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War. After various business ventures, he founded the Rich Dad Company in 1997, dedicated to promoting financial literacy through books, games, and seminars.

Kiyosaki rose to international fame with his 1997 bestseller "Rich Dad Poor Dad," which contrasts the financial mindsets of his two "dads"—his highly educated biological father and his best friend's wealthy father. The book challenges conventional beliefs about money, work, and education, encouraging readers to build wealth through financial education, entrepreneurship, and asset acquisition rather than relying solely on a salaried job.

His other major works include "Rich Dad's CASHFLOW Quadrant" (1998), "Rich Dad's Guide to Investing" (2000), "Rich Kid Smart Kid" (2001), and "Retire Young Retire Rich" (2002). He also co-authored books with Donald Trump, such as "Why We Want You to Be Rich" (2006). Kiyosaki additionally created the CASHFLOW board game to teach investing concepts. His books have sold millions of copies worldwide and been translated into numerous languages, making him one of the most influential voices in modern financial education.
