Each crime scene contains a cryptic clue pointing to a twenty-year-old cold case—the unsolved death of Sarah's mentor. As she investigates, Sarah uncovers corruption buried deep within her own department and realizes the killer knows her darkest secret. When the next target becomes someone she loves, Sarah must choose between trusting the flawed system she swore to protect and risking everything to stop a murderer who believes true justice burns.
