White Fang

White Fang

White Fang, by Jack London, chronicles the life of a wolf-dog born in the harsh wilderness of the Canadian Yukon during the Klondike Gold Rush. After learning survival's brutal laws in the wild, White Fang is captured by humans and passes through several owners: the Native American Gray Beaver, then the cruel Beauty Smith, who forces him to become a vicious fighting dog. Finally rescued by the kind Weedon Scott, White Fang experiences love and patience for the first time. Gradually tamed, he transforms from a fierce, distrustful creature into a loyal companion, illustrating how compassion can conquer brutality and tame the wild.
