Rebel Spurs

Rebel Spurs

In Rebel Spurs, Andre Norton tells the story of Drew Rennie, a half-Mexican former Confederate scout who arrives in Tucson, Arizona Territory in 1867 with a herd of wild horses. Carrying his late mother's dream of reclaiming her place in the Rennie family, Drew seeks out the estranged Anglo grandfather who disowned her years before. Yet in a West still smoldering from the Civil War, his rebel past and mixed heritage mark him as an outsider. When Drew becomes entangled in a dangerous scheme involving stolen army horses and outlaw raiders, he must prove his courage and integrity—ultimately earning the family acceptance and self-respect he has always longed for.
