Tarzan at the Earth's Core is a novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs that unites his two famous fictional worlds: Tarzan's Africa and the inner world of Pellucidar. When Jason Gridley receives a radio message revealing that David Innes, Emperor of Pellucidar, is imprisoned by the Korsars, an expedition is launched. Tarzan joins the crew of the dirigible O-220, which flies through a polar opening into the hollow earth. There, Tarzan battles prehistoric beasts, primitive tribes, and treacherous landscapes while attempting Innes's rescue. The novel blends adventure, lost-world fantasy, and crossover elements from Burroughs's popular series.
