James and the Giant Peach, written by Roald Dahl, tells the story of James Henry Trotter, an orphan forced to live with his cruel aunts, Spiker and Sponge. After accidentally dropping magical crocodile tongues near an old peach tree, a gigantic peach grows. Crawling inside, James befriends a group of oversized insects, including Miss Spider, Old Green Grasshopper, and Centipede. Together they roll away on an extraordinary journey across the Atlantic Ocean, facing sharks and Cloud-Men before landing in New York City. There, James finds friendship, freedom, and a happy new life, while the peach pit becomes his home.
