Fourteen-year-old criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl encounters demons—the last fairy family to escape the time spell, now trapped in a decaying time warp. While intercepting a demon materialization in Barcelona, Artemis and Holly Short cross paths with twelve-year-old French genius Minerva Paradizo, who has captured a young demon called No1. As the rival geniuses clash, ruthless gangster Billy Kong takes hostages, forcing uneasy alliances. Meanwhile, the demons' island of Hybras is collapsing, and only a demon warlock's magic can save it. In a daring journey through Limbo, Artemis and Holly restore the lost colony—but at an unexpected price, returning three years late.
